Bacteria Diseases
The neglected bacterial diseases comprise serious and often lethal conditions caused by a large number of bacteria, ranging from the mycobacteria family (causing leprosy and Buruli ulcer) to Chlamydia (causing trachoma) and gastrointestinal bacteria such as enterotoxigenic E. coli (ETEC) and Shigella (both causing infantile diarrhoea).
